Year 6, Term 1 Update
Year 6 are learning about forces this term. In this lesson, we investigated friction - how do different surfaces affect the amount of force needed to pull an object? We used Newton Metres to measure the force needed to pull objects on different surfaces, thereby measuring how much friction was acting on the object.
The children have really enjoyed learning all about forces. In another lesson, we investigated air resistance, experimenting to see how some shapes encountered more air resistance than others.
We also made paper aeroplanes, evaluating how air resistance affected our different designs. Some fantastic models were created, minimising the impact of air resistance and flying for metres!
